| Why “I
fulfilled my goals of looking into schools other than Princeton and
Syracuse. I toured Historically Black Colleges and was
surprised at the professional atmosphere they provide. I also
had the opportunity of meeting students who I could relate to"-

The U.S. News and Princeton Review have noted that
college tours and campus visits are an absolute necessity for college
bound high school students. Urban Leadership Institute’s Spring Break
Higher Learning College Tours serve as a means of introducing
its travelers to the world of higher education and cultural experiences.
Selecting a college may be one of the most important
decisions that students make, as it is the first step to their career
and their future. The Spring Break Higher Learning College Tour
is designed to meet student needs. The goal of the college tours
is to provide students with the tools they need to decide where
they want to go to school, and to help them find out what steps
are needed in order to get admitted. It is our hope that the tour
will encourage every student that participates, to further his or
her education by attending an institution of higher learning.
The tours provide infinite knowledge into looking
and finding a college to suit student’s needs and personality
and will enable students to get a sense of what higher education
has to offer and hopefully, students will be able to narrow down
some choices or come up with some new ones after participating in
the tours. The choice of a college or university is an important
one and college tours work well to help participants make the most
informed decision possible.
In participating in the Spring Break Higher
Learning College Tour, students also have the opportunity to interact
with students from different backgrounds and make new friends.
